ADAS (IMCA) OFFSHORE AIR DIVER UPGRADE – RPL-EC
Our sister organisation, Commercial Diver Training, offers an ADAS (IMCA) top up credentialing service to cater for divers in exceptional circumstances who can demonstrate through log book and 3rd party evidence a high level of oil and gas workplace experience gained over many years within the international offshore diving industry.
This course provides students with an ADAS Part 3 (Surface Supplied Breathing to 50m), IMCA recognized certification.
As this is an assessment–only process, candidates must be warned that they accept entry to the process on the condition that they are allowed only one attempt at the assessment procedures. This is not a training course. This credentialing service is an assessment only process involving both practical and theoretical examination.
The table below details the number of dives and bottom time (in minutes) required at the relevant levels to qualify for this RPL-EC course:

If a candidate does not have sufficient times at shallower depths, excess time from deeper dives can be attributed to times required at the shallower depth. Experience submitted in support of the RPL must be logged dives, with each dive signed by the student, countersigned by the dive supervisor, and verified with the contractors stamp. The experience must be occupational employment (not recreational dives or recreational dive instruction). Company dive records, or computer logs dated, stamped and signed by the employer/supervisor are also acceptable if log book records are unavailable.
Please note that it is an ADAS requirement that if a candidate fails the RPL-EC assessment then they are required to complete a full ADAS Part 3 course to gain certification and this process may require the candidate to complete ADAS Part 1, 2 and 3 if they hold no previously recognized qualification (General RPL criteria are still available).
The RPL-EC process is 2-3 weeks in duration and is run on demand for groups of 6 or more. Further administrative details, costs, and information can be provided on request. (Request information RPL-EC)
