Accomodation

The NZSCDT has an arrangement with the Lake Hakanoa Motor Caravan Park to provide our students with accommodation as part of the course fees. It is bunk room style accommodation, with shared ablution and kitchen facilities. Students are required to provide their own bedding, although on request bedding may be available from the Caravan Park, but this can not be guaranteed. Accommodation is approximately 4km from the school and should not be considered walking distance.

There are many benefits of utilising this accommodation. As well as the difficulty that may be experienced in attempting to find accommodation elsewhere at a reasonable price, there is the considerable advantage of staying with fellow students. In addition to being able to study together and share transport, the friends that you make on this course will be the ones that begin your network within the commercial diving industry. Without a network jobs are much more difficult to come by.
