Welcome to the New Zealand School of Commercial Diver Training (NZSCDT), New Zealand’s ONLY commercial diving school open to the public. Operating out of Weavers Crossing, Huntly, New Zealand, the school was started by Alan Strong in 2000. Since its inception we have trained divers from New Zealand, Australia, and around the world who now work in a vast range of onshore and offshore environments in New Zealand and internationally.
Part owner and Operations Manager Alan Strong (Pictured) is an experienced construction diver himself, and enjoys diving both commercially and recreationally. All of our courses are ADAS (Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme) accredited and meet both domestic, Department of Labour, regulations and international IMCA (International Maritime Contractors Association) standards, providing graduates with employment opportunities around the world.
We pride ourselves on our focus on real life, industry focused, training, and we constantly receive feedback from industry to ensure that we continue to produce graduates who meet industry needs and who find employment when they leave our establishment. As a result of this focus on industry need, we regularly have students sent direct to us from industry employers both domestically and internationally.
